As the name suggests, the Stressless Ruby will certainly be the most in-demand seating in the house. With contours that are softly rounded, yet surprisingly sophisticated, the Ruby offers plush seating for any room. All the Stressless comfort features are of course in place.

Paloma

Paloma is a slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smoothes some of the leather’s structure (grain pattern). However, the grain structure of Paloma may vary slightly at some parts of the furniture, and minor color nuances may also occur. Natural marks, scars and insect bites remain and will appear in Paloma. A thin coat of lacquer gives Paloma some protection and simplifies cleaning but Paloma does not have the same heavy-duty quality and protection as Btick and Cori. Due to its soft, natural and comfortable expression, Paloma is a very popular choice.

Plus System

The headrest automatically adjusts as you recline – supporting your neck while you read, watch TV and rest. You also get ergonomically correct lumbar support in all positions.

Glide System

Set the tension of the Stressless wheels once and adjust your sitting position simply by using your body weight.

The excess wood chips are collected and burned to produce the heat used in our facilities, cutting back on energy needs and protecting the forests surrounding us. Or the scrap leathers stretched for sofas and chairs collected and sold to companies to create smaller products so nothing goes to waste.

Complex processes are designed by our engineers to ensure the safety of our employees as well as our land. We use intensive processes, such as close-loop steel degreasing to build metal bases, which allows us to avoid harmful emissions into the air and the fjords. We implement new practices and processes to protect the health of our employees and the cleanliness of our water.

Green materials are sought out and purchased and water-based paints and lacquers are sourced. Only the highest quality materials are used. Our goal is to build a product with a minimal ecological footprint, a product that spans decades. Our daily efforts are what make Ekornes® products quality products.
